World of art at ‘world of coffee’
ART meets business with Andronicas World of Coffee at Peterborough Garden Park set to hold an exhibition from Friday, July 2 until Tuesday, August 31, 2010.
Peterborough artists Mick Stump, Hannah Souter and Rene Viner will exhibit a selection of their finest pieces, showcasing a variety of techniques, styles and materials, carefully chosen to complement the surroundings of Andronicas World of Coffee. The exhibition will feature throughout the main shop, while also making great use of the mezzanine room upstairs, a bright and airy space that is available for functions, business meetings and private dining.
This, the first Art at Andronicas exhibition, is set to become a regular event in Peterborough’s arts calendar. A further two exhibitions have already been planned for the rest of the year, running for approximately eight weeks and showcasing a variety of local artists.
Commenting on the exhibition, Andronicas’ coffee shop manager Paul Tapparno said: “We like to concentrate on the finer details, providing an experience that stimulates the senses, which is one of the reasons we take so much pride in our coffee. Coupling this approach with the visual stimulation that these select pieces of art offer, means we can take our customers’ experience to another level.”
Artist Rene Viner added: “Being given the opportunity to display our pieces in such a stylish setting is a real triumph. It is great that the artistic community of Peterborough now has another venue in which they can display their collections and it is fantastic that we can bring contemporary art to a much wider audience.”
All pieces of art will be avail- able for sale and private viewings of the exhibitions can be arranged by appointment.
Andronicas World of Coffee at Peterborough Garden Park is the first Andronicas shop to be opened outside of the capital. Using its very own in-store roaster, coffee beans are roasted to order ensuring that each and every customer receives the freshest cup of coffee.
Freshly baked pastries, delectable sandwiches and an array of fine wines are also available and a dedicated mezzanine area provides the perfect space for formal and social gatherings.
