Often during sessions it is possible to identify gaps in knowledge and training needs. I like to see where I can create a new training session and where I need to bring in guest trainers who are specialist in certain areas. We have sessions on social enterprise, social media for business and HMRC soon so these need details confirmed and the sessions promoting to clients. In the afternoon I have a one to one session with Sarah, one of our clients. She has to do a presentation on her business next week so we spend some time working on her objectives and doing some action planning. Friday I’m starting a new group on the Business Start Up sessions today. It’s great to see clients progressing from the Introduction to Enterprise and also to meet new clients. We will be working on how to write a business plan and the pros and cons of various business structures. All of our training includes a lot of opportunities for discussion, so the women can share information and suggestions and spend time supporting and encouraging each other which they love. It also helps to build their confidence and reassure them before we move onto cash flow forecasts and profit and loss (nobody’s favourite subject). Once the training is finished I take the time to review what I have coming up next week and catching up with Claire, our administrator, on what paperwork needs completing and what handouts are needed for next week. Then at 5.30pm it’s home time and I look forward to the weekend ahead.
