Coach­ing ses­sions to help young­sters im­prove their foot­ball skills

YOUNG foot­ball fans in Peter­bor­ough will be able to im­prove their penalty tak­ing and corner kicks at a train­ing ses­sion with Peter­bor­ough United coaches.

Posh coaches Simon Ryan and Alex Goy­mour will put young­sters through their paces at the sports pavil­ion in Beau­mont Way, Hampton Har­gate, on July 13, from 5pm to 6pm.

The ses­sions for young peo­ple aged eight to 18 have been or­gan­ised by Hampton youth worker Krissie Moore as part of the Hampton Youth Project run by Peter­bor­ough City Coun­cil and Fam­ily Ac­tion.

Foot­ball ses­sions are also held ev­ery Tues­day on the ar­ti­fi­cial pitch be­tween 4pm and 6pm. Youth dropin ses­sions also take place in the food court at Ser­pen­tine Green shop­ping cen­tre on Wed­nes­days from 6pm to 9pm.

At the drop-in young peo­ple will be able to play com­puter games, chill out with friends or speak to Krissie about youth is­sues in Hampton.
