Royal day for am­bu­lance trust worker

A CLIN­I­CIAN from the East of Eng­land Am­bu­lance Ser­vice was in­vited to a Royal gar­den party at Buck­ing­ham Palace.

Scott Turner, as­so­ci­ate di­rec­tor for clin­i­cal ser­vices, joined other guests at the event last Tues­day, af­ter be­ing nom­i­nated to at­tend by col­league Nick Mor­ton, in recog­ni­tion of the work he did to im­prove the trust’s in­fec­tion con­trol rates last year.

Mr Turner said: “It was a glo­ri­ous day that gave recog­ni­tion to many peo­ple from all walks of life. We didn’t get in­tro­duced to the Queen so did not speak di­rectly to her but the sun shone and two mil­i­tary bands pro­vided back­ground mu­sic as the Queen and Prince Philip min­gled with guests.”
