On-the-go bins launched in the city

NEW bins to help peo­ple re­cy­cle on the go have been in­stalled in the city cen­tre.

Peter­bor­ough City Coun­cil and Coca-Cola Great Bri­tain have teamed up to pro­vide the bins in and in­spire peo­ple to re­cy­cle.

Coca-Cola has also pro­vided Peter­bor­ough City Coun­cil’s city ser­vices team with branded col­lec­tion ve­hi­cles to col­lect and main­tain the bins.

Pres­i­dent of Coca-Cola Great Bri­tain, San­jay Guha, said: “We’re com­mit­ted to mak­ing a pos­i­tive im­pact on the en­vi­ron­ment so we’re de­lighted to be launch­ing our re­cy­cle on-the-go bins across Peter­bor­ough.”

Councillor Sa­man­tha Dal­ton, Peter­bor­ough City Coun­cil’s cabi­net mem­ber for en­vi­ron­ment cap­i­tal, said: “This ini­tia­tive con­trib­utes to our grow­ing rep­u­ta­tion as the UK’s en­vi­ron­ment cap­i­tal be­cause, by work­ing with Coca-Cola, we can make it easy for peo­ple to re­cy­cle valu­able ma­te­ri­als as they move around the city.”
