A CHARITY helping people with mental health issues to live full lives has been given a big boost by generous customers of Anglia Co-operative.

Peterborough and Fenland Mind has received a £6,000 donation from the Anglia Co-operative Community Fund.

A cheque was presented to the charity’s service development officer, Emily Gray, by Jean Humphreys, a member of Anglia Co-operative’s board of directors, at the city’s Westgate department store. The money was raised by customers who diverted their membership reward points into the community fund.

Emily Gray said: “The donation will really make a huge difference to us. It will be used in so many different ways, including developing training courses in basic mental health awareness and stress in the workplace to take out to organisations and businesses in the area, and to set up a men’s group in Peterborough.”
