Pupils get hands-on campaign
PUPILS from a Peterborough school have been involved in a powerful campaign to end prejudice.
Following a trip to the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp in Germany by two of its pupils, Jack Hunt will now be hosting “All Hands on Deck” – an event where the public are encouraged to donate a handprint, a signature and possibly a small amount of money. The prints will be used to make a banner illustrating the commitment of the Peterborough community to ending discrimination, and the money will be donated to the Aegis Trust, a volunteer organisation that works with those who have suffered from genocide. The event takes place on July 12 between 9am and 7pm. Everyone is welcome to attend.
