Pupils get hands-on cam­paign

PUPILS from a Peter­bor­ough school have been in­volved in a pow­er­ful cam­paign to end prej­u­dice.

Fol­low­ing a trip to the Auschwitz-Birke­nau con­cen­tra­tion camp in Ger­many by two of its pupils, Jack Hunt will now be host­ing “All Hands on Deck” – an event where the pub­lic are en­cour­aged to do­nate a hand­print, a sig­na­ture and pos­si­bly a small amount of money. The prints will be used to make a ban­ner il­lus­trat­ing the com­mit­ment of the Peter­bor­ough com­mu­nity to end­ing dis­crim­i­na­tion, and the money will be do­nated to the Aegis Trust, a vol­un­teer or­gan­i­sa­tion that works with those who have suf­fered from geno­cide. The event takes place on July 12 be­tween 9am and 7pm. Ev­ery­one is wel­come to at­tend.
