The Peterborough Evening Telegraph - - Neighbourhood News -

TIMEOUT is a new initiative being offered to businesses across Huntingdonshire to get workforces more active.

The sport and active lifestyles team at Huntingdonshire District Council will offer support to businesses to help them promote and deliver activities to employees either before, during or after working hours.

Ideas include aerobics in meeting rooms, table tennis in the office, short tennis on the green or some pre-planned walks around the site during the week.

Councillor Andrew Hansard, whose executive responsibilities include sport and active lifestyles said: “Finding time during our busy lives for exercise can be very difficult for us all.

“TimeOut will encourage businesses to offer employees a chance to get active, at a time and place to suit them. Employees will benefit by feeling more healthy and businesses should see improvement in productivity.”
