Gifts given to the chil­dren

PLAY­ERS from Peter­bor­ough United handed more than 100 toys to the chil­dren at the hos­pi­tal.

The toys, which were worth more than £500, were do­nated by ASDA and Deben­hams to the club.

They in­cluded re­mote con­trol cars, games, puz­zles, books, clothes, crayons and dolls.

A spokesman for Peter­bor­ough United Foot­ball Club said: “We’ve been com­ing to the hos­pi­tal for sev­eral years now.

“The play­ers en­joy com­ing to meet the chil­dren and hope the gifts put a smile on their faces.”
