Annie’s home at Christmas

The Peterborough Evening Telegraph - - The Guide -

ONE of the most successful musicals of all time opens at the Cambridge Corn Exchange for a two week run.

The heartwarming and timeless tale of Little Orphan Annie comes to the venue for the first time.

The production allows a whole new generation the chance to experience a musical about never giving up hope, against all the odds.

Starring Su Pollard as the dastardly Miss Hannigan, Annie tells the story of the gutsy little 11-year-old who, being left on the steps of a New York City orphanage run by Miss Hannigan, is determined to find her real parents.

It also boasts one of Broadway’s most memorable scores, which includes It’s A Hard-knock Life, Easy Street, and the ever optimistic Tomorrow.

It runs at the venue from tomorrow until December 31.

The winner of a competition run by The Guide for a family ticket to see the show (including a pre-show meal at the Crowne Plaza Hotel) was Veronica Mason, from Whittlesey. Tickets range from £12.50 to £26.50.

Full details of times and tickets for all the Annie shows are at www.cornex.
