Don’t let the magic of Rudolph fade
are hard and the whole country is struggling financially. This year could be the last trip to Disneyland Paris organised by the city’s Rudolph Fund.
More than 400 children have travelled abroad for dream holidays since the Rudolph Fund was first launched after a pub landlord in Eye approached Cllr John Fox with an idea to give deserving children a truly memorable Christmas.
For the tireless organisers of the Rudolph trips the incredible reaction of children with autism, ADHD, cerebral palsy, deafness and other disabilities as they see Disneyland is something special.
Other youngsters who have had to contend with difficult situations or personal tragedies like the loss of loved ones have also been taken on trips.
There are few more deserving causes and, at this special time of year, we appeal to readers and local businesses to dig deep and help a very special cause.
Don’t let this be the last time incredibly deserving youngsters experience a little magic thanks to Rudolp.
If you want to help keep the fund going you can send a cheque to the Rudolf Fund C/O The Secretary, 11 Church Close, Newborough, Peterborough, PE6 7RA, or donate to Nationwide Building Society account number 0669/702931738.
