Road safety lessons at primary school
SAFETY conscious pupils have been learning about road dangers. Class Two at William Hildyard C of E Primary and Nursery School wanted to find out how busy the traffic is in Godsey Lane, Market Deeping. In a maths lesson they counted passing cars for 10 minutes and then calculated there would be 534 cars every hour. In a literacy lesson they came up with ideas for how to make the road safer and wrote letters to the Mayor of Market Deeping, Cllr Bob Broughton. In creative classes they designed and made safety posters and in science they investigated how safety jackets reflect light.
