Wall on his way back to Phantoms
STEPHEN Wall (pictured left) could be in line for a swift return to the Peterborough Arena after signing for Basingstoke Bison.
Wall left Phantoms at the end of last month and after a few weeks out of the game, the treble-winning netminder has signed for Phantoms’ English Premier League rivals.
And with the two teams due to play at the Peterborough Arena on January 2, the big Geordie is expecting a very ‘warm’ welcome from the Bretton faithful.
He said: “I was due to sign a new contract with Bison that starts on January 3 but we are trying to push it through in time for the Phantoms game.
“I will be going there as number one so I expect a lively reception but I am big enough and experienced enough to handle that.
“I had some great times at Phantoms and the club will always have a special place in my heart but it was time to move on and I have done that now.
“I needed a new challenge in my career and I expect to get that with Bison.
“I am really looking forward to it.
“I know most of their guys and they know me so I am hoping it won’t take me too long to settle in there.”
