Farm girl Sam in calendar strip for charity
A BEVVY of daring beauties have bared almost all in a charity farming calendar.
The 2012 calendar has been put together by 11 young women, all from farming backgrounds.
The risqué photoshoot is in aid of the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign, and features Chesca Martin (20) and Sam Riddington (19), from the Peterborough area.
The calendar was the brainchild of Sam and Chesca’s friend Alex Paske, from Northamptonshire, who has a close friend with the debilitating disorder.
Sam, from Crowland, said: “We were all sitting in the pub one evening and Alex said she wanted to do something for charity because of her friend. Muscular dystrophy is a cause which is really close to her heart.
“The idea of a naked calendar came up, but none of us really thought it would happen, we all thought it was a bit of a joke.
“But Alex went ahead with it and we ended up stripping for the calendar.
“It was a really good laugh. We ended up giggling all the time as we spent ages trying not to reveal too much.”
The calendar features the 11 ladies in a variety of poses around the farm.
In each picture, one for each month of the year, the girls are striking a pose around agricultural machinery such as a tractor while in others they are fishing or riding horses.
The one common theme is the Union Flag boxer shorts worn by the models protecting their modesty and adding a splash of colour to the black and white photographs.
Sam, who is studying for a degree in business at the Royal Agricultural College, said: “The whole group has grown up together as friends, but, even so, the first picture was quite nerve-wracking.
“But we had so much fun together. I would only consider doing it again if it was with those friends. I think it might be a one-off, but we will see.”
The group has already raised £3,000 from the sale of the calendars, with plenty more due to come in.
It has delighted the charity which helps fund research into muscle-wasting disease.
Charlotte Allen, a fundraising manager for Muscular Dystrophy Campaign, said: “This is one of the bravest fundraising efforts I’ve ever seen.
“The girls have done a fantastic job of putting this calendar together and they should be proud of raising so much to fund research into devastating muscle-wasting conditions.”
The calendars cost £7 each, plus £2 for postage, and can be ordered by e-mailing email@example.com and paying through www.justgiving.com/paskey
