Campaigning charity

The Peterborough Evening Telegraph - - News -

THE Muscular Dystrophy Campaign is a charity which works to find treatment and cures for various muscle-wasting diseases. In the UK, 70,000 people suffer from muscular dystrophy or a related condition. It causes muscles in the body to waste and weaken, making even the simplest of tasks impossible. It does not just affect muscles in the arms and legs, but also those in the heart and respiratory system. There are no cures, and many with the condition do not survive to adulthood.
