All about Chelsea’s train­ing ground

BIL­LION­AIRE owner Ro­man Abramovich re­vamped Chelsea’s train­ing fa­cil­i­ties when he took over in 200 .

He in­vested an es­ti­mated £20 mil­lion in the cen­tre, which is on a 140acre cam­pus in Cob­ham, Sur­rey.

The cen­tre boasts 0 foot­ball pitches, of which six are to a Premier League stan­dard, in­door ar­ti­fi­cial pitch, me­dia cen­tre, med­i­cal cen­tre, gyms, cold im­mer­sion pools, sauna, steam room, Hydroworx pool and 56ft hy­drother­apy pool.

It took three years to cre­ate the state-of-the-art cen­tre, which houses all of the club’s train­ing and med­i­cal treat­ment fa­cil­i­ties for the first team, academy, re­serve and women’s teams.
