Mayor given sparkle and magical panto treatment
SPARKLE and magic was on the agenda as the Mayor of Peterborough went to a community panto.
Cllr Paulathacker attended the final night of Puss In Boots at the Honeyhill Children’s Centre, in Chadburn, Paston on Wednesday.
It was the last of three performances of the annual pantomime which featured staff members from the centre and local residents.
The production also featured a group of 15 children singing in the chorus.
Cllr Thacker, who was joined by her consort Cllr Ray Dobbs, turned out to show her support, meeting members of the cast before the perform- ance.
She said: “It was very good and very entertaining. It was funny and the costumes were beautiful.
“I couldn’t pick any one person out as the best because they were all good and entertaining in what they did.”
Speaking during the preparations before the first performance, Jason Wilson, the children’s centre co-ordinator, said: “We always look forward to our annual community pantomime and local residents have been working really hard to prepare for it by helping to paint scenery and make costumes as well as working on dance routines, practising songs and learning their lines.
