Vol­un­teers needed to plant trees

A CALL has gone out for vol­un­teers to help plant trees at a city beauty spot.

Nene Park Trust is or­gan­is­ing the vol­un­teer day at Ferry Meadows in Or­ton Longueville, Peter­bor­ough, from 9.45am to noon on Jan­uary 11.

It is suit­able for peo­ple aged 18 and over.

A spokesman for the trust said: “Do you en­joy fresh air? Keen to get some ex­er­cise but not a big fan of the gym?

“En­joy be­ing close to na­ture? Want to learn new skills and pick up new knowl­edge? Like get­ting to know new peo­ple?

“If you an­swered yes to some or all of the ques­tions, then maybe our vol­un­teer day is just what you are look­ing for.

“The day will be led by ex­pe­ri­enced Nene Park rangers who will teach you all you need to know.”
