London has biggest house price rise
The study of house prices across the UK named London as the region which experienced the biggest rise in prices over the past 12 months.
House prices across the capital rose by 5.4 per cent to an average cost of £298,216.
Bradford was named as the best- performing city over the year, with prices rising by 10 per cent to average £158,401
The report found that Northern Ireland experienced the biggest slump, with prices nose-diving by 8.9 per cent.
The average cost of a house there now stands at £113,614.
