The Kings are the UK’S family fundraisers of the year
A FAMILY from Peterborough have won an award after getting over £200,000 in donations for their charity set up for special needs children.
Little Miracles, in Skaters Way, Werrington, were yesterday named the Candis Fundraising Family of the Year 2012.
It was set up by Michelle (28) and Paul King (26) and provides much needed support for 420 families who have children with health problems, such as autism and cerebral palsy.
They were yesterday named as the Candis Fundraising Family of the Year 2012, and will go to London Zoo to collect the award on May 28.
They could also win the overall ‘Family of the Year’ at the star-studded bash, whose judges include Spice Girl Mel C and actress Kym Marsh.
They set up the charity after son Oliver (4) was born with autism, half a heart and no oesophagus.
Since then, the Yaxley-based family has been joined Amelia (3) and Imogen (2) - both of whom also have health problems.
