The Kings are the UK’S fam­ily fundrais­ers of the year

A FAM­ILY from Peter­bor­ough have won an award af­ter get­ting over £200,000 in do­na­tions for their char­ity set up for spe­cial needs chil­dren.

Lit­tle Mir­a­cles, in Skaters Way, Wer­ring­ton, were yes­ter­day named the Can­dis Fundrais­ing Fam­ily of the Year 2012.

It was set up by Michelle (28) and Paul King (26) and pro­vides much needed sup­port for 420 fam­i­lies who have chil­dren with health prob­lems, such as autism and cere­bral palsy.

They were yes­ter­day named as the Can­dis Fundrais­ing Fam­ily of the Year 2012, and will go to London Zoo to col­lect the award on May 28.

They could also win the over­all ‘Fam­ily of the Year’ at the star-stud­ded bash, whose judges in­clude Spice Girl Mel C and ac­tress Kym Marsh.

They set up the char­ity af­ter son Oliver (4) was born with autism, half a heart and no oe­soph­a­gus.

Since then, the Yax­ley-based fam­ily has been joined Amelia (3) and Imo­gen (2) - both of whom also have health prob­lems.
