Key dates for ac­tors seek­ing roles in Cal­en­dar Girls

AC­TORS and be­hind scenes staff are be­ing sought for new pro­duc­tion of the highly ac­claimed Cal­en­dar Girls.

Mem­bers of the Wis­bech Play­ers are plan­ning to put on the stage ver­sion of Cal­en­dar Girls and are about to start the search for per­form­ers.

The cast con­sists of four male and 10 fe­male roles. They are Chris, 50s. An­nie, 50s. Cora, around 40. Jessie, late 60s/70s. Celia, age any­thing 3550. Ruth, 40s. Marie, 50s. John, An­nie’s hus­band. Rod, Chris’s hus­band. Brenda Hulse. Lady Craven­shire. Lawrence. Elaine. Liam

A spokesman said: “Any and all ex­pe­ri­enced or as­pir­ing ac­tors are wel­come to au­di­tion.

“Any­one in­ter­ested in off stage in­volve­ment will also be wel­come.

“The back stage team will be la- dies only.”

The pro­duc­tion will be tak­ing place at The An­gles Theatre, in Alexan­der Road, Wis­bech on Oc­to­ber 12 and Oc­to­ber 13.

There will also be a run of the pro­duc­tion be­tween Oc­to­ber 16 and Oc­to­ber 20.

The read through of the script and au­di­tions will be tak­ing place at the Oc­tavia Hill Birth Place House, in South Brink, Wis­bech, on May 21 from 7.30pm fol­lowed by a sec­ond read through of the script on Wed­nes­day, May 23 from the same time.

Au­di­tions will be held on May 28 and May 30 and also take place at Oc­tavia Hill from 7.30pm.

Re­hearsals will be held on Mon­day and Wed­nes­day evenings start­ing from June 11.
