Country life on display at house
DISPLAYS of dogs, ducks, falconry as well as crafts and tasty food delights will be on show at an event at a stately home.
Living Heritage Game and Country Fair at Burghley House, near Stamford, will be taking place on May 6 and 7, running from 10am to 6pm each day.
It is the sixth year the event has been held at the house.
There will be two arenas with a full programme of displays including scurry racing, sheepdog and duck displays and a grand national steeplechase.
There will be a Dogzone with Lurcher racing and showing, a Falconry Village featuring a variety of birds of prey, a Craft Village with demonstrations of contemporary and traditional arts and crafts and Food Glorious Food section where chefs will cook up some treats to taste and regional producers sell their food and drink.
Tickets for the event cost £11 adult, £10 pensioners, £4 child and free for the under fives.
