Coun­try life on dis­play at house

DIS­PLAYS of dogs, ducks, fal­conry as well as crafts and tasty food de­lights will be on show at an event at a stately home.

Liv­ing Her­itage Game and Coun­try Fair at Burgh­ley House, near Stam­ford, will be tak­ing place on May 6 and 7, run­ning from 10am to 6pm each day.

It is the sixth year the event has been held at the house.

There will be two are­nas with a full pro­gramme of dis­plays in­clud­ing scurry rac­ing, sheep­dog and duck dis­plays and a grand na­tional steeple­chase.

There will be a Dog­zone with Lurcher rac­ing and show­ing, a Fal­conry Vil­lage fea­tur­ing a va­ri­ety of birds of prey, a Craft Vil­lage with demon­stra­tions of con­tem­po­rary and tra­di­tional arts and crafts and Food Glo­ri­ous Food sec­tion where chefs will cook up some treats to taste and re­gional pro­duc­ers sell their food and drink.

Tick­ets for the event cost £11 adult, £10 pen­sion­ers, £4 child and free for the un­der fives.
