Movie magic on the meadow

A SPOT of movie magic is com­ing to a Peter­bor­ough park.

Ferry Mead­ows is host­ing the Movie On The Meadow event this week­end where film buffs will be able to en­joy show­ings of Back To The Fu­ture and Mamma Mia in an out­door a cinema with a high def­i­ni­tion, gi­ant in­flat­able screen.

Back To The Fu­ture will be shown on May 5 while Mamma Mia will be screened on May 6.

James Mccul­loch, Nene Park Trust chief ex­ec­u­tive, said: “The trust is al­ways look­ing to de­velop our events pro­gramme and we are re­ally ex­cited about bring­ing the Drive-in movie ex­pe­ri­ence to Peter­bor­ough.”

En­trance to the event is by car only and tick­ets must be pur­chased in ad­vance from Ferry Mead­ows Vis­i­tor Cen­tre at a cost of £10 per car.

Ve­hi­cles up to peo­ple-car­rier size with a max­i­mum of five oc­cu­pants a car will only be per­mit­ted en­trance.

Gates to the meadow will open from 5.30pm with all cars need­ing to ar­rive by 8pm in time for the film to start at 8.15pm. Re­fresh­ments and toi­lets will be avail­able.

Pedes­trian ac­cess to the south­ern end of Coney Meadow will be re­stricted over the two days but the rest of the park will re­main un­af­fected to gen­eral vis­i­tors.
