Hol­i­day health alarm

DOC­TORS in Peter­bor­ough are warn­ing res­i­dents that many GPP surg­eries across the area will be closed for the bank Hol­i­day.

But GPS say there are still a range of ser­vices avail­able to help peo­ple in med­i­cal need over the week­end.

Whit­tle­sey GP Dr Gary Howsam said: “Any­one with a cold or stom­ach trou­ble can al­ways ask a phar­ma­cist for ad­vice. For ur­gent at­ten­tion, there is the GP out of hours ser­vice and the Alma Road Walk-in Cen­tre from 7am to 10pm ev­ery day over the Bank Hol­i­day week­end.

The nurse led Walk-in Cen­tre at the City Care Cen­tre in Thorpe Road, Peter­bor­ough, is also open from 7am to 10pm ev­ery day.
