TV scriptwrit­ing course at col­lege

BUD­DING tele­vi­sion scriptwrit­ers can learn some of the tricks of the trade at a course in City Col­lege Peter­bor­ough.

Lo­cal writer and Bbc-trained script ed­i­tor, Ni­cholas Gibbs, will be run­ning a half-day course at the col­lege, in Brook Street, for lo­cal res­i­dents on Satur­day, May 19.

The ses­sion runs be­tween 10am and noon and will give stu­dents the op­por­tu­nity to learn more about cre­at­ing a tele­vi­sion drama script and in­sight into the in­dus­try.

Mar­ket de­vel­op­ment man­ager, Jackie Hall said: “Many peo­ple would like to see their ideas per­formed on the ra­dio or on televi- sion.

“This short ses­sion will give in­ter­ested in­di­vid­u­als tips and ad­vice on how to cre­ate scripts for broad­cast me­dia. Ni­cholas has a wealth of ex­pe­ri­ence to share with oth­ers.”
