Luminus rewards employees’ commitment

The Peterborough Evening Telegraph - - ET Business Daily -

LUMINUS employees who achieved a full year without taking any sickness absence have been awarded a Luminus day to recognise their outstanding achievement. This year, that amounts to a record 101 Luminus Days.

The Huntingdon-based social housing business has an outstanding record for keeping sickness absence to below the national average.

Employees can use the Luminus day to have an additional day off as a reward.

The secret of the business’s success is found in its strong commitment to ethical leadership, and employee engagement supported by superb internal communications where everyone is inspired, motivated and helped to feel part of a highly professional business and a caring family.

This, in turn, is underpinned by a comprehensive benefits package designed to keep employees happy and healthy.

Group chief executive Chan Abraham said: “With so many UK organisations struggling with employee absenteeism, I am delighted that over a third of our workforce felt so inspired by what we do in Luminus. Happy, healthy and motivated employees provide excellent customer service and are a vital part of our 2020 Vision as we journey onthe Road to Renewal.”
