Busy schedule of racing at Norfolk Arena
THERE is a big weekend of stock car and banger racing coming up at the Norfolk Arena in King’s Lynn with action on both Saturday (6pm) and Monday (1pm).
Saturday’s meeting features the F2 Stock Cars, 2L Bangers and 1300 Stock Cars.
The F2 entry includes the star graded duo of Andrew Palmer (Peterborough) andtom Smart (Wisbech) while Ollie Skeels (Wisbech) will be looking to continue his progress from the blues.
Dave Polley (Manea) was a race winner in the F2s at Lynn last month when he took the Grand National and he will be looking to repeat that success on Saturday.
The 2L Banger entry includes the exciting Wisbech duo Rickytwell and Joe Barratt and former world champion Gareth Flatters (right) from Peterborough, who is making a return to action after a year’s absence through illness.
There’s also another good turnout of 1300 stock cars with Shane Moat (Wisbech) and Richard Hampshire (Emneth) both racing from Superstar status.
Moat will be joined at the back of the grid by his father John Moat while brother Dean will also be in action together with Lee Farrell, Les and Jonny Pearce, Ady Moden, Lee Green, Buster Ketteringham (all Wisbech), Josh Harlock and Jherek Upchuech (both March).
Monday sees the traditional Figure of 8 Meeting for 1500cc Bangers where John Paul Pyle and Steven Pyle (both Wisbech) are expected to make their mark.
The Reliant Robins are also in action where the local entry includes the always entertaining Roy Gedge, Peter Graham, Dean Moats, Eddie Holland (all Wisbech) and Nickyyoung (Elm).
The Lady Bangers contest their British Championship with Charlotte Whittaker (March) and Caroline Garner (Wisbech) expected to go well.
