120 vote coun­ters in four Town Hall rooms

MORE than 120 peo­ple gath­ered in four sep­a­rate rooms to count all the votes. Many of the tell­ers are staff at Peter­bor­ough City Coun­cil rang­ing from en­gi­neer­ing, chil­dren ser­vices, strate­gic re­sources and other de­part­ments. But re­tired staff and mem­bers of the public are in­vited back to help with the mam­moth task of count­ing and sort­ing the thou­sands of votes cast.
