Jail owners of vicious dogs

injuries to teenager Kyle Fergus inflicted by an out of control dog are horrific.

Quite simply, the dog must be destroyed and the owner prosecuted.

If the animal had spotted a smaller child the consequences could have been even worse and while it lives that danger is always there.

Anyone whose dog injures a person must take responsibility for that.

But in this case the animal is quite clearly extremely vicious. Kyle did nothing to provoke the attack which came out of the blue.

This is very different to a normal dog reacting badly in a shock situation.

This was an animal that is quite clearly vicious and its owner must be aware of that. When caught the owner should be jailed.
