THE Na­tional Cam­paign for Cour­tesy was launched in 1986 by the Rev­erend Ian Gre­gory, a con­gre­ga­tional min­is­ter.

The so­ci­ety has a seven-point cour­tesy test for peo­ple to try, which is be­low.

1. Do you say please and thank you on a daily ba­sis?

2. Do you hold doors open for oth­ers?

. Do you ac­knowl­edge ac­tions of cour­tesy when you re­ceive them?

4. Do you ever al­low oth­ers to en­ter a bus or train be­fore your­self?

5. Do you treat oth­ers as you would like to be treated your­self? 6. Do you give way to other driv­ers? 7. Do you re­ally lis­ten to other peo­ple?
