New walks to re­veal city na­ture

WILDLIFE-LOV­ING res­i­dents can keep fit and learn about an­i­mals at a walk around a na­ture re­serve.

Am­phib­ian char­ity Froglife has launched a se­ries of guided walks around Hamp­ton Na­ture Re­serve, with the first one tak­ing place to­mor­row.

The walks will have a va­ri­ety of themes which will in­clude gen­eral wildlife strolls, a rep­tile sa­fari, a walk in the dark to search for crea­tures of the night.

There will be a sug­gested do­na­tion which will go to­wards Froglife’s work sup­port­ing rep­tile and am­phib­ian con­ser­va­tion through habi­tat man­age­ment, the pro­vi­sion of in­for­ma­tion and en­vi­ron­men­tal ed­u­ca­tion.

All the walks will be de­signed for peo­ple who have a gen­eral in­ter­est in wildlife and such par­tic­i­pants do not need to be an ex­pert to at­tend, with the char­ity hop­ing ev­ery­one will be able to learn or see some­thing new at the events.
