More on the Amazon Ward

CHILDREN’S services at Peterborough City Hospital are made up of the Amazon Children’s Ward, Rainforest Outpatients Department and the Jungle Assessment Unit, which is linked to the Emergency Department.

Amazon is a 0-bed ward with two high dependency unit beds for very poorly children. The ward also has a play room, a sensory room and a classroom. It also has a den for teenage children. The ward looks after children aged up to 16 years.
