The Peterborough Evening Telegraph - - NEIGHBOURHOOD NEWS -

A FOLLOW-UP session to a successful first aid course is being held later this month.

The British Red Cross held a popular everyday first aid course in Market Deeping back in March.

The organisers are now putting on another course for all those who went to the first session to top up the skills and knowledge which they learned.

The session will be two hours long and held on Tuesday, May 22 at Deeping Community Centre, in Douglas Road, Market Deeping from 2pm until 4pm.

As well as learning basic lifesaving skills there will also be the chance to use a defibrillator - used to shock patients who have had a heart attack.

The session is free but needs to be booked by calling Liz Waterland on 01778 343722.

And the charity is also celebrating its annual appeal week which started on Saturday.

Liz said: “Volunteers are needed to help with a street collection on Wednesday morning or for house-to-house collecting at any time during this week.

“Local business could also help by having a counter-top collection box.”

To help out contact Liz on 01778 343722.
