New contest for ultrafast

The city is bidding to secure a share of £50 million from the government to install the service.
In the budget, the Chancellor George Osborne announced the new fund, which will help create ten super-connected cities with 80-100Mbps broadband access.
This is the second round of funding for ultra fast broadband, with ten of the UK’S largest cities already working on detailed plans to upgrade their networks.
Bidding cities need to produce plans for how they will use their share of the £50 million and the contest should start on May 18
