Tee off to help char­ity work with needy

GOLFERS of all abil­i­ties are be­ing urged to tee off at a tour­na­ment to help char­ity.

En­tries are now be­ing taken for the New Hope An­nual Char­ity Golf Tour­na­ment is be­ing held at Or­ton Mead­ows Golf Club, in Ham Lane, Peter­bor­ough.

The tour­na­ment is tak­ing place from 2pm on Sun­day, July 29 and is rais­ing funds for the New Hope UK Char­ity.

The char­ity, based in Bret­ton Court, Peter­bor­ough, pro­vides help to those who are des­per­ately de­prived both in the UK and abroad.

Among the things that the char­ity does is pro­vide food parcels to help the peo­ple through dif­fi­cult times as well as skills de­vel­op­ment pro­grammes.

It costs £35 to take part in the tour­na­ment, which in­cludes an 18-hole round and a do­na­tion to the char­ity. The win­ner will be pre­sented with a tro­phy and there will be an­other tro­phy for the most en­ter­tain­ing player on the day.
