Newman named in the British Under 21 side
SPEEDWAY: Panthers reserve Kyle Newman was yesterday named in the British team for the World Under-21 Team Cup semi-final at Lakeside on May 27.
He will join Richie Worrall, Kyle Howarth, Joe Haines and Steve Worrall for the clash with Denmark, Australia and the Czech Republic.
Phil Morris, the co-manager for the GB youth set-up, believes Newman and his team-mates will do well.
He said: “It’s going to be tough against the likes of Darcy Ward (Australia) and Michael Jepsen Jensen (the in-form Panthers ace who will line up for Denmark) but we’ll go to Lakeside confident we can put in a good performance.”
