Police on the march

The Peterborough Evening Telegraph - - Your -

COMMITTED police officers across Cambridgeshire gave up their free time to join a protest in London yesterday.

Police officers are not legally allowed to strike, but that did not stop some 100 county officers joining in the demostration in the capital using their free days.

Police Federation spokesman for Cambridgeshire Oz Merrygold said: “Officers are worried about the increasing privatisation of police forces as they answer to shareholders, not members of the public.”
