Touching moment capture on film
A PASSING paramedic spotted this baby horse moments after it was born.
Paramedic paparazzo Chris Porsz was returning to the Peterborough ambulance station, in Eastern Industry, onthursday when he spotted this touching moment.
He sprang out and captured the moment the foal staggered to its feet on the verge off Oxney Road, Newark.
He said: “I was in my ambulance returning to the station and spotted this foal getting to his feet having just been born by the roadside.
“In 21 years as a paramedic I have delivered many babies and helped resuscitate a chinchilla in a house fire!
“Fortunately I was not called upon to assist in the delivery of this foal.
“Mother and baby are doing well.”
Chris has been taking pictures of scenes in Peterborough for decades.
He is known as the “paramedic paparazzo” because he combines his work and his passion to provide a unique insight into life in the city.
His work is featured every Sat- urday in the Eveningtelegraph.
He currently has a popular photography exhibition at the refurbished Peterborough Museum which ends on Friday, May 18.
