Touch­ing mo­ment cap­ture on film

A PASS­ING para­medic spot­ted this baby horse mo­ments af­ter it was born.

Para­medic pa­parazzo Chris Porsz was re­turn­ing to the Peter­bor­ough am­bu­lance sta­tion, in East­ern In­dus­try, onthurs­day when he spot­ted this touch­ing mo­ment.

He sprang out and cap­tured the mo­ment the foal stag­gered to its feet on the verge off Oxney Road, Ne­wark.

He said: “I was in my am­bu­lance re­turn­ing to the sta­tion and spot­ted this foal get­ting to his feet hav­ing just been born by the road­side.

“In 21 years as a para­medic I have de­liv­ered many ba­bies and helped re­sus­ci­tate a chin­chilla in a house fire!

“For­tu­nately I was not called upon to as­sist in the de­liv­ery of this foal.

“Mother and baby are do­ing well.”

Chris has been tak­ing pic­tures of scenes in Peter­bor­ough for decades.

He is known as the “para­medic pa­parazzo” be­cause he com­bines his work and his pas­sion to pro­vide a unique in­sight into life in the city.

His work is fea­tured ev­ery Sat- ur­day in the Eveningtele­graph.

He cur­rently has a pop­u­lar pho­tog­ra­phy ex­hi­bi­tion at the re­fur­bished Peter­bor­ough Mu­seum which ends on Fri­day, May 18.
