Char­ity shoot-out raises £864

GEN­ER­OUS foot­ball lovers who took to the penalty box for a shoot-out at Peter­bor­ough United raised more than £800 for char­ity.

Hamp­ton res­i­dent Marco Se­menta or­gan­ised the event at London Road ground to raise money for the Make A Wish Foun­da­tion and the East Anglian Air Am­bu­lance.

The shoot-out raised £864, which will be split equally be­tween the two causes.

Mr Se­menta said: “I’m re­ally chuffed by the amount raised.”

A sep­a­rate raf­fle of a Ryan Giggs signed shirt, also or­gan­ised by Mr Se­menta, has man­aged to rake in around £420 for the Make A Wish Foun­da­tion.
