Hobson’s trip down Memory Lane
THESE railway workers appear to be in good spirits as they take a break from their daily shift.
The picture was sent in to me by reader Carole Waudby, who said the man in the centre, with a cigarette on the go, was her dad John William Buck.
Mrs Waudby added: “We lived in St James Avenue, in New England, and my father worked on the railway for many years until his retirement. I don’t know the names of any of the men in the photo but they seem to be having a good time!”
