Youngsters from Werrington Primary School, in Amberley Slope, Werrington, Peterborough, held the event on May 4 ahead of the May Day Bank Holiday weekend.

Year six pupil Georgia Wade (11) was crowned as the school’s May Queen.

She, along with her attendants who were also chosen on the day, were given the best seats in the school playground to watch the displays of country dancing and Maypole dancing.

Parents of the youngsters also came along to watch the festivities.
