BUDDING actors from Yaxley are putting the final touches together for their upcoming production this weekend.

Yaxley Amateur Players’ performances of Midsummer Nights - an alternative version of Midsummer Night’s Dream - will take place on Friday and Saturday.

Both performances will start at 7.30pm and will both take place at Yaxley Public Hall.

Yaxley Amateur Players’ Chris Akrill said: “It is an alternative version of Midsummer Night’s Dream probably best described as Shakespeare meets the 60s.

“The show largely follows the Shakespearean story and includes many well-known 60s hits.

“The audience will be treated to song and dance routines as well as a good dose of comedy with Bottom and the mechanicals.”

The show is being directed by Debbie Barker and David Griffin, while music is provided by the band Nil By Mouth.

Tickets cost £4 and are available from our website www.yap.org.uk.
