Bri­tons’ hol­i­day money goes fur­ther

BRI­TISH tourists are find­ing their hol­i­day money go­ing fur­ther not just in the euro­zone but in many other desti­na­tions as well, ac­cord­ing to a sur­vey. Around 80 per cent of world cur­ren­cies are now weaker against the pound than they were last year, the sur­vey from Post Of­fice travel Money found. Brazil, South Africa and Mex­ico are among the hol­i­day spots where ster­ling has strength­ened the most over the last 12 months. Other cur­ren­cies which have crashed against ster­ling in­clude the Pol­ish zloty, the Hun­gar­ian forint, the Czech koruna and the turk­ish lira.
