The Peterborough Evening Telegraph - - Neighbourhood News -

AN UNIQUE National Lottery funded archaeological dig will take place at Abbey College, Ramsey, this weekend. The two-day event will see the Abbey College Monks Down Under Group excavating and recording finds from the site on Friday and Saturday. A group of students from Abbey College will be taking part in the exciting project. A spokesman for the college said: “It involves an archaeological excavation of previously unexplored remains of the old Benedictine Abbey on which their school is built.” They will be led by experts from Oxford Archaeology East.
