The Peterborough Evening Telegraph - - Neighbourhood News -

ORGANISERS of the Whittlesey Festival have promised plenty to look forward at 2012’s event.

This week it was revealed the event would take place in Whittlesey town centre on Sunday, September 9.

Using feedback from a questionnaire handed out at last year’s event, organisers confirmed the vintage car display will be even bigger and also include a collection of motorcycles.

Other activities will include puppet shows, dance displays, children’s rides, a craft fair, a school art competition and a beautiful baby competition.

Last year’s school art compe- tition attracted more than 100 entries.

Marija Lysak, from the festival’s organising committee, said: “This event had grown year on year and organisers are confident this year will be no exception.

“We want to say a big thank you to all those who completed a post festival questionnaire. This feedback is extremely valuable and contributes to the success of future events.”
