Fun for all the family at charitable fete
A PUB fete will help a group’s bid to become a registered charity. Patsy Tobin is behind the bid for the Helping Hands Against Abuse group, which offers support to victims of domestic or personal abuse. The group needed to prove it could raise more than £5,000 before it could apply for charity recognition. This target has almost been reached and proceeds from Saturday’s fete at the Straw Bear pub, in Whittlesey, will boost it further. There will be a bouncy castle, tombola and barbecue from noon.
