FOUR Wis­bech Gram­mar School pupils have ev­ery rea­son to walk with a spring in their step af­ter sam­pling na­tional tram­polin­ing suc­cess.

The Un­der 9 team of El­lie Salmon, Alana Pritchard and Yas­min Pritchard - who at­tend the Mag­da­lene House prepara­tory school - came first in the In­de­pen­dent As­so­ci­a­tion of Prep Schools Cham­pi­onship at Mill­field School in Som­er­set.

It was the lo­cal school’s first crack at an event which at­tracted more than 250 com­peti­tors from across the coun­try.

Seven year-old Alana Pritchard also claimed third place in the in­di­vid­ual sec­tion while head girl Alice Salmon com­peted at un­der 13 level and se­cured sec­ond place.

Head coach Adela Broda, from the lo­cal Fen­land Fly­ers club where the girls train, said: “I am so proud of their per­for­mances.

“They trained ex­tremely hard for this com­pe­ti­tion and it has paid off with un­ex­pected and bril­liant re­sults for the school.”
