Your chance to have a say on is­sues at pair of meet­ings

RES­I­DENTS will have the chance to in­flu­ence what goes on in their com­mu­nity at two meet­ings be­ing held next month. The first is a po­lice panel meet­ing, which cov­ers Hamp­ton, Wood­ston, Flet­ton and Stan­ground, and will be held on Tues­day, June 12 at the Bel­size Com­mu­nity Cen­tre, Celta Road, Wood­ston from 7pm.

At the meet­ing, res­i­dents will have the chance to raise their crime con­cerns with po­lice of­fi­cers and help set their pri­or­i­ties for the next three months.

At the last meet­ing the pri­or­i­ties set in­cluded main­tain­ing low lev­els of anti-so­cial be­hav­iour around Hamp­ton shops and work­ing with the youth steer­ing group to pro­vide ac­tiv­i­ties for young­sters to do.

Res­i­dents will have an­other chance to in­flu­ence what goes on in their com­mu­nity on Wed­nes­day, June 27, when the Or­tons with Hamp­ton Neigh­bour­hood Com­mit­tee meet­ing takes place.

The meet­ing sees coun­cil­lors and staff mem­bers from other agen­cies come to­gether to tell res­i­dents the lat­est de­vel­op­ments in their com­mu­nity.

The meet­ings also in­clude an open forum for res­i­dents to raise is­sues with coun­cil­lors.

It will take place at Hamp­ton Vale Com­mu­nity Cen­tre, West­lake Av­enue, Hamp­ton Vale on Wed­nes­day, June 27 from 7pm.

An agenda will be pub­lished on Peter­bor­ough City Coun­cil’s web­site closer to the date.
