The Peterborough Evening Telegraph - - Uk&world Update -

POLICE are searching for a motorist who left the scene of an accident in Peterborough yesterday afternoon.

The crash involving a green Cityrover and silver Seat Alhambra took place at 2.29pm in Lincoln Road, outside the Salvation Army shop.

The driver of the Cityrover is thought to have fled the scene, while the Seat driver stayed to talk to police.

A Cambridgeshire police spokesman said: “There was some fuel on that stretch of Lincoln Road and we advised people to find alternative routes this afternoon. If you can help the investigation call PC Freeland on 101.”

The collision came on the same day of a nasty car crash that luckily resulted in no injuries yester- day morning. A black Ford Focus Zetec collided with the central reservation on the A47 Soke Parkway at 8.01am. The crash happened on the eastbound approach to Gresley Way, Ravensthorpe.

The driver was not thought to be seriously injured and an ambulance was not called. Her car was recovered at 9.40am.
