Pedalling for good causes
AN INTREPID duo will be embarking on a two-week, 1,000-mile fundraising challenge for two charities.
Parminder Summon (49), from Bretton, and Alan Barber (45), fromthorney, are cycling from John O’groats to Land’s End starting from May 26 with Parminder raising cash for Savethe Children while Alan is raising money forthe Otter’s Retreat, based at the City Care Centre.
Parminder said: “We have always wanted to do a big challenge and as this year I am reaching my 50th birthday, I thought it was now or never. We are grateful to all our supporters. I have never cycled as far as this before and we are looking forward to meeting lots of people and seeing the many great landscapes of this country.”
